We would like to introduce a case study of business improvement using the 3D CAD "iCAD SX," which is specialized in mechanical design. At "Shimane Fujitsu Co., Ltd.," they are internalizing the production equipment for laptops and other devices. They decided to transition to 3D design to enable vertical ramp-up during the switch between over 20 different models. By designing and virtually verifying the optimal placement of robots and the design and manufacturing of jigs, which are challenges that arise with each work change, they were able to shorten the line ramp-up period by 40% using iCAD SX.
