A clinic located on the 6th floor of a six-story building in the city center, which has different tenants on each floor. Since the windows face south, measures against glare and heat insulation were desired, and due to the many tenants in the bustling area, it was hoped that patients could easily recognize the clinic's location. Therefore, we printed the clinic's name on the Akari-na Contract blinds to address glare and heat insulation while ensuring that the clinic's name could be recognized when viewed from the road. Given the constraints of the building's aesthetics, including the predetermined size for printing and the presence of window frames, we paid close attention to the creation of the printing data and the installation position. By calculating the angle of view and elongating the letters vertically, we achieved a design that is easy to read despite the high position. ■ Installation Direction ■ Southeast ■ Used Blinds ■ Reflect: Solar reflection rate of 84.6%. The new head office building, scheduled for completion in 2025, is a financial institution actively working to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption, having obtained ZEB Oriented certification. This newly constructed branch is the first building in the prefecture to receive ZEB certification among regional banks. In sunny Okinawa, with many south-facing windows, we adopted Akalina Contract Reflect. The Reflect horizontal type has a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.17ηA (eta A). With its high heat shielding effect, it hardly generates radiant heat, preventing indoor temperature rise and improving air conditioning efficiency to save energy. It also cuts ultraviolet rays almost entirely, preventing skin sunburn and interior discoloration. ■ Installation Direction ■ South ■ Used Blinds ■ Reflect: Solar reflectance rate of 84.6%. The office area from the 9th to the 22nd floor of this building has adopted the daylighting blinds "Akarina C" Reflect. In tenant offices, it is essential to accommodate various interior layouts of occupants. Therefore, the slats (vanes) selected for Akarina C are the Reflect model, which has the highest heat insulation performance. In general, traditional aluminum blinds and blackout roller shades tend to darken the interior, so the client was attracted to the performance of Akalina C, which allows for natural light while reducing glare, and it was adopted for the headquarters renovation project. Additionally, its long lifespan and ability to enhance lighting and air conditioning efficiency, as well as being an environmentally friendly product, have also been highly praised. After installation, even with the blinds lowered, the interior does not become dark, and sufficient brightness is maintained, which has been positively evaluated. Furthermore, by using a hybrid configuration with different slats for the upper and lower sections, natural light is allowed in from above while preventing reflections on monitors from below, creating a comfortable working environment. The soft light is gentle on the eyes and has received positive feedback for causing less strain even during long hours of work.
